Today, Mongolian National Audit Office has launched a performance audit on the current system of disaster preparedness and the implementation of relevant laws and regulations. The objective of this audit is to present opinions and recommendations to the relevant authorities and officials and to inform the public. The audit will cover the results of the Disaster Protection Law, as well as related government policies, programs, plans, budgets, and organizational measures implemented during 2023–2025. Within this scope, the audit will analyze the state of preparedness for disaster protection activities, based on reports, supporting documents, and other relevant evidence.

Mr.Enkhbold.D, Director and Principal Auditor of the Performance and Compliance Audit Department at the Mongolian National Audit Office, formally opened the audit, presented the audit plan and program, and provided information on key issues requiring attention during the audit process. The audit will cover the Cabinet Secretariat, the Deputy Prime Minister, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and other relevant organizations. The audit report is scheduled to be submitted to the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy of the State Great Khural (Parliament) and other relevant organizations and officials by December 15 of this year.
